Bennie served his country in the Navy on the USS Thuban during WWII.
He retired after 34 years of service for Guide Lamp.
He was a member of the UAW Local #663. Bennie enjoyed caring for his home, lawn, and visiting with his neighbors.
Bennie is survived by his loving children, Frances (Roger) Phillips of Anderson, IN and Ricky (Dee Linville) Copeland of Anderson, IN; grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Phillips-Cannon, Lora (Louie) Hite, Keri (Robert) Johnson and Jaime Copeland; great-grandchildren, Katie Hendricks, Mary and Roger Hite, Sadie, Noah and Emma Johnson, Trevor, Bryce, and Drew Flory; nephews, MJ, Edward, Mike and Gary Dickson, Bill and Bennie Dixon. Also surviving is special friend Rev. Bill Ledbetter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ollie Copeland; and sisters, Cora (IP) Dixon and Anna (Jim) Dickson.
