Carl I. Harker, 86, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at his home.

Born Sept. 8, 1918, in Hope, he was the son of Isaiah and Della (Coots) Harker. He married M. Genevieve Stotsenburg on Sept. 29, 1940, and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Judith (husband, Robert) Yeager of Waldron and Janet (husband, Larry) Oswalt of New Palestine; four grandchildren, Tracey Yeager of Greenwood, Kelley Baldwin of Shelbyville, R. Shayne Yeager of Greenwood and Lauren A. Oswalt of New Palestine; six great-grandchildren; and close friend Mary Cole of Waldron.

He also was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

Mr. Harker was a farmer and a school bus driver for 30 years in Noble Township. He retired in 1979.

He was a member of Waldron Baptist Church in Waldron.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin St., in St. Paul.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home with his nephew the Rev. Harold E. Armstrong and the Rev. Paul Kirk officiating.

Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
