Wyman Ames Suits, 92, of Beersheba Springs, Tenn., died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Regency Place, in Greenfield.

Born July 3, 1913, in Ashkum, Ill., he was the son of Albert Lee and Nancy Esther (Ames) Suits. He married Mary Ellen Jones, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 1946. He married Eva Irene Johnson, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 9, 1993.

Survivors include four sons, David Suits of Beersheba, Jack (wife, Mary) Suits of Butlerville, Wayne A. (wife, Cheryl) Suits of Greenfield and Michael (wife, Janice) Suits of Harlegen, Texas; one sister Mary Wave Howard of Fairland; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Dale; three brothers Maurice, Kenneth and Donald; and four sisters, Ruth, Lois, Marguite and Ferrell.

Mr. Suits was a former Shelby County resident. He moved to Kentucky in 1989 and to Tennessee in 1998.

He farmed in Sugar Creek Township from 1942 to 1974 and later in Henry County. He also was employed with York Central Railroad Co., in Beech Grove.

Mr. Suits was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville and Acton.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Baker officiating.

Interment will be in Van Pelt Cemetery, in Shelby County.
