1925 - 2014
Ardath Waddle passed away on November 25th due to age related causes. She was a resident of Valley West Health Care since 2012. She had lived in this area for 57 years. She was born in Ruckles, OR on January 29th, 1925 to Les and Lelia Childers.
She attended high school in Valejo, CA, where she graduated. She met Sam H. Waddle at Mare Island Navel Base in California during the war. They were married on December 25th, 1945. They were married for 51 years before his passing in 2006.
She was an avid Oregon Duck and Portland Trailblazers fan. An animal lover since childhood, she had many pets in her life, large and small! Her cat Boots survives her and also three "granddogs" whom she dearly loved.
She was a long time member of Garden Way Church. She made a lasting impression on the people who knew her and she was loved by many. Being a Christian, she always put others before herself and helped people whenever they were in need. She will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna; niece, Carolyn of Redmond, WA; niece, Cynthia of Salem, OR; nephew, Doug of Bellevue, WA; niece, Pat of Eugene and Sandy of Medford, OR.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Maurice, Vern, Ron, Don and her identical twin, Ardele.
Burial at Roseburg Memorial Gardens.
