J.C. “Ceb” Halters, age 85, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 in Lexington. He is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth Halters (Lila) of Huron and Kyle Halters of Wildersville; 1 daughter, Angie James (Charles) of Lexington; 2 brothers, Robert Halters of Wildersville and Roy Halters of Schaumburg, IL; 8 grandchildren, Kenneth Wesley Halters, Rudy Grice, Gina Clark, Lila Montgomery, Felicia Simpson, Amy Blackwell, Matt James, and Christopher Ryan Halters; 14 great grandchildren, Derek Clark, Allie Clark, Braxton Grice, Emma Grice, Macie Grice, Jillian Blackwell, Luke Blackwell, Ty Ryan Halters, Hayden Lee Halters, Josie Kate Montgomery, Keilee Jean Grice, Allie Montgomery, Carson Simpson, and Thomas Kane Halters; and special family members that include, Nan, Jarrett, and Nathan Cavness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Margaret Hill Halters; and his wife, Alma Halters. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 3 at 2PM at Reed’s Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2PM-9PM and Wednesday from 9AM till service. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be given to Wildersville Baptist Church at 140 Wildersville Church Rd., Wildersville, TN. 38388 or Jones Cemetery c/o Joan Scott at 1580 Exchange Rd., Wildersville, TN. 38388.
