Morris W. Dean, 92, of Mineral Wells, is now in His Lords arms. He went to be with His Lord on Dec. 1, 2014.
Morris was born Jan. 24, 1922, at his parent’s farm in rural Parker County to Marvin Mather and Pearl Penrod Dean.
Morris was a veteran of World War II, where he received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal.
After returning from the war he married Thelma Holmes on Sept. 6, 1947, in Weatherford, Texas. She was the love of his life.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Darlene Dean of Orlando, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Pearl and D.C. Whittenburg Jr. of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Bobby and Christi Whittenburg of Mineral Wells; sister-in-law, Clara Holmes; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friend, Mary Whittenburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; grandchild, Tiffiny Dean; his parents; and a sister and a brother.
