Charlie Dailey was a successfull farmer and rancher in the Dalys Community, now known as the Dailey Community. Along with his business partner, Pete Jackson, they owned over 2000 acres west of Grapeland. Part of this property located not far from the Trinity River is still in the family still owned by his descendants.
