This is the grave of Alice J. Holmes wife of Joseph L. Holmes. She is buried at the John Anderson Memorial Cemetery in Independence Township PA. She is buried next to her husband and beside a Sphere Stone labeled "Mother/Holmes". They are buried 25 feet to the left of the entrance of the graveyard near the old church. You can see the entrance in the photo attached to this bio. Alice Ewing Holmes was the mother of Alice Filkins.
