Mary was married to Thomas Allein, who was the son of Benjamin Allein and Elizabeth Tongue, of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

The Allein family came from colonial Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Mary Allein, who was born in 1782, accompanied her son, Thomas, and his wife Mary Precilla to Church Hill, Jefferson County. In a letter dated 1844, Thomas gives the details of his wife’s death and quotes her as having said “I have four on Earth and four in Heaven.”

In affectionate remembrance of Mary Precilla, Consort of Thomas Allein, born April 19, 1807. Married May 18, 1826. Died Sep. 3, 1844. Her last words were “Heaven is very close to me. There is rest in Heaven.”
