Dorothy Bingham, age 100, of Runge TX, passed away Sunday Nov. 23, 2014 at Bluebonnet Nursing Home in Karnes City, TX. She was born Apr. 7, 1914 in Kenedy, TX to Gus Rummel and Viola Donnell Rummel. She was a housewife and rancher; and an active member of the Runge First Baptist Church. Dorothy has lived in Runge for the past thirty two years moving from Karnes City. She and Roy Alvin Bingham were married on Feb. 18, 1933 in Karnes City. She is survived by her son Fred Allen Bingham and his wife Martha Ann of Portland, TX; grandchildren Carol(Walter)Bickel and Allen(Gwen)Bingham; great grandchildren Aubrey Bingham, Joshua Bickel, and Christopher Bickel; sister Ethel Barth; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and numerous brothers and sisters. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, Monday Dec. 1, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Runge with a funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Choate Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Walter Bickel, Josh Bickel, Allen Bingham, Charles Pantalion, Jim Adkins, and Scott Sisti. Funeral services are entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, Inc.
