W. C. Johnson of Buhl Dies
William C. (Billy) Johnson. 70. widely known Buhl resident who died yesterday in Eutaw. will be buried Tuesday with services from the Bethany Church with interment in the church cemetery. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. with the Rev. J. L. Watson of Tuscaloosa officiating, assisted by the Rev. Fred Martin of Tuscaloosa and the Rev. J. Titus Aldredge and the Rev. Ralph Nichols of Eutaw.
Widely known as "Uncle Billy" Mr. Johnson was visiting at the home of a daughter at the time of his death. He was a prominent farmer at Buhl and. during World War II served with the Western Union Telegraph Co. here in the delivery department. He was long active in county politics.
Surviving are one son. J. H. Johnson of Brantley; three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Key of Eutaw; Mrs. L. M. Mills or Buhl; and Mrs. J. W. Adcox of Eldorado, Ark., two brothers, J. F. Johnson and S. A. Johnson, and one sister, Mrs. J. S. Durrett of Tuscaloosa,
Active pallbearers at services on Tuesday will be Henry Burks, Eugene Rice, Luther Hughes, Sam Mills, Joel Mills and Johnny Hodge Mills.
