Mr. Bilbay was a patient many months in the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit, then had lived with his son, J.W. Bilbay, 507 E. Bald Eagle St., before entering Susque View a few weeks ago. He went into the hospital on March from Susque View.
Born June 22, 1885 at Caldwell, he was a son of Joseph and Mary Glover Bilbay. He had lived in this area all his life. His wife, Katie [Katie Pepperman], died in 1958.
As a young man Mr. Bilbay worked at the Queens Run mines. Later he was employed for the Winer Packing Plant in Lock Haven, until retiring in 1956. He was a member of the Caldwell Evangelical United Brethren Church.
His sons and daughters are Mrs. Robert Croak, Lock Haven R.D.; Fred, J.W. Mahlon, James, and Ivan Bilbay, Lock Haven; Mrs. Ellis Wolf, Mackeyville; Forney, Beech Creek; Mrs. George Stover, Mill Hall; and Graydon, Bellefonte. There are 44 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, for a total of 103 immediate survivors.
A brother, Christ, is a resident of the Soldiers Home in Bath, N.Y.
FUNERAL-BILBAY-Services for Chauncey W. Bilbay, 507 E. Bald Eagle St. Lock Haven, who died Sunday, March 17, 198, at 1:25 a.m. in the Lock Haven Hospital, will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Helt Funeral Home. The Rev. George W. Barto III will officiate. Interment, Dunnstown Cemetery.
