After a brief stint in Dallas, Peggy moved to Corsicana in 1953. She was a mother to Michelle, Debra Rose, and Michael Wayne. Peggy held various secretarial roles while raising her young children. In 1968 she married the love of her life Clarence Blancet and gained two bonus daughters. Peggy worked administration at TXU which was then TP&L and retired after 25 years. She relished in the role of taking care of all the boys at the light company. Peggy was always the life of the party wherever she went and knew no stranger. Peggy enjoyed dancing, shopping, being with friends and family, traveling, going to casinos and working at the Collin Street Bakery. Her greatest joys were spending summers with her grandchildren at their lake house on Cedar Creek Lake. Her one goal in life was to live long enough for a five-generation picture. Her dreams came true in June 2020 when Audrey Rose was born and named after Peggy's Daughter, Debra Rose who died at birth. Peggy told everyone she was so proud of her 5 generations of women.
Peggy Is in proceeded in death by her husband Clarence L. Blancet, daughter Debra Rose, parents Wayne and Agnes Ferguson, siblings Garland Ferguson, Billie Ray Ferguson, Ruth McClennan, Harry and Larry Ferguson.
Family who cherish memories of Peggy include: daughter, Michelle (Harvey) Smith; son Mike Bass; daughters Vickie Butler, Sherry (Rick) Richardson; grandchildren: Angie (Brian) Payne, Melissa (Will) Stallings, Julie (Kelly) Wredling, DeAnn (Troy) Kropik, Toby (Crocia) Richardson, and Gary (Crystal) Richardson; 14 great grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren with one the way.
