MRS. JOHN J. (MARY ELLEN OLIVER) LAHEY

Word was received by relatives here announcing the death of Mrs. John J. Lahey, of Chicago, on Tuesday, Dec. 4, after a comparatively short illness.Since the birth of a child a few months ago her condition had been such that her friends feared the worst.
Mary Ellen Oliver, familiarly known as "Birdie" was born near Chatsworth, October 27, 1883, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Oliver. Her parents having died, at the age of eight years she went to Chicago, where she made her home with her aunt, Mrs. S.A. Todd, until the 28th of February, 1905, when she was united in marriage with John J. Lahey. Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Lahey resided in Chatsworth for several months, moving from here to Chicago, where they had since made their home.
The remains were brought to this city on Thursday evening and the funeral services were held at SS. Peter and Paul's church this morning, Rev. W.J. Burke officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in St. Patrick's cemetery.
The bereaved husband, infant child and other relatives have the deepest sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow.
Among the out of town persons present at the funeral were; Mr. and Mrs. John Todd, Misses Mamie Lahey and Sadie Todd, Miss Baker, Messrs. D. Finley, Thomas Lahey, P. Shields, J. McCabe, C. Healey, Chicago; J. Ryan, Flanagan.
