Funerals
Ausdemore rites planned
Services for Edward A. Ausdemore, 74, 402 E. Braasch Ave., Norfolk, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church. Terry Bowland and Jim Hopkins, ministers, will officiate, and burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Visitations will be Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Johnson-Stonacek Funeral
Chapel.
Ausdemore died May 2 at Clarkson Hospital, Omaha. He was born Oct. 3, 1911, at Crofton to the late Henry and Anna (Kaiser) Ausdemore. He farmed in the Bloomfield area, worked on construction of Gavins Point Dam at Yankton until it was finished and later worked on construction of the missile base at Arlington. In 1963, he moved to
Norfolk where he was employed at Norfolk Regional Center until retiring in 1977.
He married Henrietta Sass on Dec. 30, 1939, at O'Neill. She survives as do one son and five daughters, James Ausdemore, Mrs. Victor (Arvis) Porath, Mrs. Duane (Marvalee) Chamberlain, and Mrs. John (Leeta) Obermeyer, all of Norfolk, Mrs. Richard (Mavis) Black of Waukegan, Ill., and Mrs. Kevin (Barbara) Lange of Ottumwa, Iowa; 19 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Malone of Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Matilda Lack of Sabetha, Kan., and Mrs. Eleanor Logan of Yankton, S.D. He was preceded in death by one grandson, three brothers and four sisters.
