St. George, Utah – Richard Lee Lakey, 83, was called home to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was born on November 13, 1931, in Fairbury, Nebraska to Forrest Marvin Lakey and Emma Margaret Kujath. He was married to Lorraine Mildred Stillman on February 23, 1953 in Montebello California.

He was a machinist in the heavy equipment industry by trade. He was extremely handy and could fix/repair anything. He loved to garden, to tinker in his workshop and to spend time with his family. He loved playing and interacting with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved the personal attention he paid to each one of them on an individual basis. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren think that “grandpa” is the greatest ever. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict.
