Julius William Schuchardt, 92, left this world and went to be with his lord and master on Saturday, June 30, 2012.

He was one of eleven children born to the late Albert and Ida Schuchardt and was the beloved husband of ClovaLee Schuchardt of 65 years. J W will forever be remembered by his beloved sons; Clayton and Kenneth Schuchardt; his treasured grandchildren; Karen Jo Marshall, Wayne Schuchardt, Kenny Schuchardt, Valerie Workman, Debra Wooden and Brian Schuchardt, and his many precious great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild.

J W touched the lives of everyone who met him with his loving manner, generosity, and gentle nature. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help a neighbor. Julius loved the great outdoors and liked to fish and hunt. He had a passion for animals, especially deer and could almost feed them by hand. Julius was a Christian and devoted his life to his family. He made a loving home with his wife in Kendalia which all the children and his grandchildren would gather for holidays, hunting seasons, and weekends.

J W served in the Air Force during World War II and respected and flew the American flag night and day. He worked many years for the Federal Government, Civil Service at Kelly Air Base. In his earlier years, he was a Mason and a member of the Kendall County Republican Party.

Funeral services were at 1:30 pm, Thursday, July 5th at Vaughan’s Funeral Home in Boerne. Visitation was held from 12:30 - 1:30 pm prior to the service. Julius was then laid to rest with full military honors in the Short-Newman Cemetery.
