Gilman A. Skogen, 96, of Beloit, WI, died November 25, 2014 in his home. He was born January 6, 1918 in Ordfordville, WI, the son of Andrew and Julia (Halvorson) Skogen. Gilman was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Marie Jebauer on July 2, 1949 in Beloit, WI. She predeceased him on August 16, 2004. Gilman was formerly employed by Warner Electric for 33 years as a shipping clerk. His pride and joy was being with his family, serving the Lord, doing yard work and growing roses. Gilman was a hardworking man and loved his dog Spanky who has been his best friend for the last 8 years. He was an active member of the New Apostolic Church and volunteered at Grinnell Hall. Survivors include his two daughters; his son; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
