VACAVILLE -- Thomas Ar-
thur Benison, 71, a Vacaville
resident for the past three
years, died in a Fairfield hos-
pital yesterday afternoon after
a lengthy illness.
Until his retirement, Mr. Ben-
ison was a night engineer at
the Ford Motor Company in
Richmond, where he was em-
ployed 24 years. He was a na-
tive of Mississippi.
Mr. Benison is survived by
his wife, Minnie; two sons, Roy,
of Vacaville, and Donald, of
Oakland; three stepdaughters,
Mrs. Mildred Gomer, of Vaca-
ville, Mrs. Thelma McNames and
Mrs. Irene Reynolds, both of
San Francisco, and a sister,
Daisy Benison, of Mississippi.
Funeral services for Mr. Beni-
son will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at the McCune Garden
Chapel here, with the Rev. Max
Phelps, of the Vacaville First
Baptist church, officiating. In-
terment will follow in the Vaca-
ville-Elmira cemetery."
