Hazleton Standard Speaker, Thursday, April 30, 1992:
Helen (Payich) Berlitz, 38 E. Grant St., McAdoo, died Wednesday at Hazleton General Hospital. Born in McAdoo, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Kandur) Payich, and was a lifelong resident of McAdoo. Mrs. Berlitz was employed at the former Sports Craft in McAdoo. She was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, McAdoo, and the Hazleton Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; brothers, Stephen and Paul, and a sister, Anna Marley. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Ethel Patton, Hazleton; Mrs. Paul (Dolores) Augustine, Lancaster; Mary Shogi, Philadelphia; John, Florida; and Joseph, Connecticut. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home, Blaine and Cleveland streets, McAdoo. The Divine Liturgy With Office of Christian Burial will be held in St. Michael's B.C. Church at 9 a.m. The Rev. Basil Schott O.F.M., will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Laurel Cemetery, Hazleton. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Parastas service will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial donations to St. Michael's B.C. Church, McAdoo, would be appreciated by the family.
