A funeral for James E. Rice. 57, Rt. 3, Northport, who died Friday In Veterans Hospital in Tuscaloosa, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. L.S. Channell will officiate with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery and Memory Chapel directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Keith Rice. Northport; four daughters, Mrs. Edith Drinkard, Monroeville. Mrs. Jane Avis Drinkard, Thomasville, Mrs. Janell Collier, Bayou La Batre, and Mrs. Patricia Norman, Houston, Tex.; four sons, Ernest Rice Bosarge and James A. Rice Bosarge. both of Anniston, Danny Rice, Houston, Tex., and Sgt. James M. Rice, U.S. Army. Germany; a step-son, James L. Pate. Northport; a sister. Mrs. Myrtle McJenkins, Tuscaloosa; a brother. Willie A. Rice, Tuscaloosa; 18 grand-children and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Alfred Ray Rice, Jim Smith, Marvin Smith, Donald McJenkins. Jimmy McJenkins. William Shelby and Glenn Wheat.
Honorary pallbearers include doctors and nurses of the intensive care unit at Druid City Hospital and the Veterans Hospital, employees and staff of West Alabama General Hospital and Partlow State School Unit 9, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Englebert, Mr. and Mrs. Odie Englebert, Dwight Beams, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Noland, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hamm, Mr. and Mrs. Richard LaVelle, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Collage Hamm, Mr. and Mrs. Otha Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Dockery, Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Dockery, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dockery, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tidmore, Mr. and Mrs. W.H.
