Cement resident Jack Vaughn, 65, passed away Monday, Jan. 4, 2010.
He was born Aug. 26, 1944 in Shawnee to Jack and Marie (Jones) Vaughn. He was reared in Tecumseh. He then moved to Frederick, Okla. He then lived twenty two years in Anadarko. He had resided in Cement the past seven years.
Jack was a 1963 graduate of Tecumseh High School. He worked with Western Farmers Electric Coop in Generation of Electricity for thirty three years at the company's headquarters in Anadarko. He loved fishing, gardening and his pets. He was baptized by his grandfather at the age of thirteen. Mr. Vaughn was greatly loved by his great nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Jess and Nell Jones and W. T. and Marie Vaughn
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jennifer Dellinger of Palm Bay, Fla.; daughters and son-in-law, Sherri and Brian Behnke of Bolingbrook, Ill. and Lori Fischer of Norman; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Wayne Wright of Shawnee; grandsons, Seth Dellinger, Louis Behnke, Charles Allen Behnke, Bryce Fischer, Brandon Fischer and D'Narion Fischer; granddaughters, Alex Fischer and Brittney Fischer; friend and care-giver, Linda Ensminger of Cement; niece, Robin Smith; nephew, Rowdy Pickering; cousins, Ray and Suzanne Vaughn, Russell and Nancy Taylor, Judy and Gene Pearson, Lynn and Barry Mitchell; and many classmates, other friends and family.
Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Kevin Rayner and Doyle Loveland officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
