Annie Hanys Dreyer, 98, of Yoakum, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2006. She was born February 18, 1908 in DeWitt County to the late Rudolph and Anna Benys Hanys. She was married to the late Alfred Dreyer. She was a rancher and a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Aileen Boening and husband Dr. Louis Boening of Yoakum; one grandchild, Dr. Sandra Bergey and husband Dr. William Bergey of Yoakum; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Bergey and Weston Bergey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, Milady Peters, Elizabeth Ella Kacir, Adela Filla and Agnes Fondy; two brothers, Rudy Hanys and Otto Hanys.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary Goodson officiating. Burial followed at the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ladie Kacir, Ken Langston, Charles Kacir, Herbert Kacir, Dr. William Bergey and Gilbert Kacir.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Buffington Funeral Home of Yoakum was in charge of arrangements.
