Stricken Two Weeks Ago.
J.K. Albert Passed Away at St. Francis Hospital Yesterday.
Following a sudden attack of paralysis and hemorrhage of the brain while in bed at his home, 1125 West Thirteenth street, J.K. Albert died yesterday at the St. Francis hospital. He was stricken with paralysis two weeks ago and has not been expected to live since that time.
Mr. Albert had been a resident of Wichita since 1883 and was one of the best known contractors in the city. He was born at Hagerstown, Maryland, April 14, 1849. In 1869 he moved to Leavenworth, Kans., where he erected several government buildings. He located in Wichita in the spring of 1883 an since then has built many of the most substantial buildings in the city. He was a member of the G.A.R. and the A.O.U.W.
Mr. Albert leaves a widow and three children, Charles Albert of Wichita, Kans., Mrs. W.L. Giles of Protection, Kans., and Mrs. W.T. Resing of Muskogee, Okla. He also leaves four grandchildren.
The funeral arrangements have not been completed.

The funeral services for John K. Albert will take place from A.G. Mueller's funeral chapel, 142-144 North Market street, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Pickard officiating. The G.A.R. members will have charge.
