John Robert Haynes was married on the 10th February 1867 to Margaret Frances Wright.

They had 7 children;
Mary Louisa "Mollie" Haynes m Pryor Lee Gibson;
William Bernie Haynes,
Andrew Van Cleve Haynes m. Margaret "Maggie" McGregor, Isaac Solen Haynes m. Susan Dicy Rogers,
Letitia Angeline Haynes m. Oscar D. Osborn,
Harvey Alonzo Haynes m. Sarah Melvina McGregor, and Joseph Frank Haynes.

Margaret died in 1907 and John Robert Haynes married Annie Howard on the 2nd day of May 1911 in Wilbarger County, Tx. They had one daughter, Cora H. Haynes born in 1912 in Chillicothe, Hardeman County, Tx.

John Robert Haynes came to Texas abt 1878 and then went to New Mexico abt 1907 after his wife Margaret died. J.R. had a sister Mallisa Haynes Johnston who also lived in Quay Co., N.M.

John Robert Haynes must have came back to Texas and married Annie Howard in 1911 and after Cora Haynes birth, they must have moved to Quay County, New Mexico.

My grandparents went out to Tucumari, Quay County, N.M. and they tried to homestead but my grandfather (Wroten Moore who had married John Robert's neice, Addie Mae Whitworth) could not stay and homestead. Must have been very hard because it was nothing like East Texas where they moved from. My grandparents had one child a son born in San Jon, Quay County, New Mexico, he was the second child the only child born in NM the rest in Texas.

John R. Haynes enlisted in Co. A., 29 Tennessee Infantry.
