Mass of Christian burial was celebrated for Elizabeth Bollig Wednesday (today) at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Catholic Church. Father Patrick Kennedy and Father Jose Hernandez officiated.

She was born Elizabeth Pfeifer March 19, 1894 in Liebenthal, Kan. and died Nov. 9 in Brighton Community Hospital. She was 81.

She married Peter Bollig Jan. 25, 1916 in Kansas. They moved to Brighton in 1926 and lived here since. Her husband preceded her in death in 1958.

Mrs. Bollig was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.

Mrs. Bollig is survived by two sons, Eugene Bollig, Lakewood, and Anthony Bollig, Hot Suphur Springs; two daughters, Mary B. Bieker, Brighton and Sophia Degenhardt, Brighton; two sisters, Julianna Weber, Astoria, Ore. and Emma Burkhardt, Denver; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton.

Pallbearers were Jim Bieker, Ronald Degenhardt, Gene Bollig, David Bollig, Vic Forte and Charles Unrein.
