TOM BENNIE ELMORE was born September 27, 1930 in Cushing, OK and passed away March 28, 2006 in Yukon, OK. Survived by his wife, Hazel 'Brandi'; son, Michael Thomas Elmore and wife Franna of Oklahoma City; daughter Diane (Elmore) Turner, and husband Keith of Keller, TX; their mother, Bobbie Elmore of Oklahoma City; granddaughters, Ashley Elmore Lane and husband Brian of Norman, and Reese Roberts-Elmore of Oklahoma City. Other survivors include step-daughter, Kay Rogers and husband, Jerry of Yukon; step-sons R. C. and Marilyn Jackson of HasIett, TX, Charles and Marilyn Jackson of Oklahoma City, John and Susan Jackson, Oklahoma City; and 14 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, Jessa Lee Elmore and Mattie (Dulany) Elmore, and brother Donald Gene Elmore predeceased him. Ben retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. after 35 years service. During the mid-50's, Ben was active in IOOF and held every office in his local lodge. In 1946, Ben enlisted in the Army, falsely stating his age, and was discharged when it was discovered that he was only 15. He later spent several years serving in the Navy Reserve. Services will be March 31 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel.
