Wapakoneta: Mary V. "Vi" Beers, 92, formerly of R. R. 1, and a former resident of Shelby County, died Sunday at 9:45 p.m. at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
She was born Feb. 10, 1901, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., daughter of Calvin and Amanda (Lehman) Shively.
On Oct. 19, 1929, she was married to Judson Beers. He died Sept. 10, 1969.
Survivors include three children, Charles of Wapakoneta, Joseph of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Mrs. Charles (Grace) Barnes of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren: and a brother, Abraham Shively, 4781 County Road 4, Quincy.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Beers was a member of the Sidney Church of the Brethern.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Patrick Heinl Chapel of Bayliff & Eley Funeral Homes in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
