Mrs. Arvie A. Birck nee Wanda Clara Ruff of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in the Hill Country Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 14th, 2013 at the age of 87 years. She was born September 16th, 1925 in Gillespie County, Texas the daughter of James Ruff and Clara Petri Ruff, married Arvie Birck on August 21st, 1941 in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arvie, three brothers and three sisters, Walter Ruff, Norma, Mrs. Chester Boos, Annie Mrs. Wesley Grobe, Dora, Mrs. Herman Fritz, Werner Ruff and Marvin Ruff
Mrs. Birck is survived by the following, one daughter, two sons and spouses,
Darlene & Atlee Lochte, Francis & Helen “Vicky” Birck and Larry & Melinda Birck all of Fredericksburg
7 grandchildren, Brian Lochte, Don Lochte, Stephanie Marschall, Cherie Bingo, Rodney Birck, Brandon Birck and Brandy Herrera, and seven great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18th, 2013 at 2:00 P. M. in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, with Pastor Bobby Vitek officiating.
Graveside services and interment will follow in Der Stadt Friedhof Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Holy Ghost Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, or to the charity of their choice.
Visitation for Wanda Birck will be on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5:00 P. M. and on Monday from 7:30 A. M. to 2:00 P.M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
