Janet Dean Forsyth Zweegman was born on March 17, 1955 in Longmont, Colorado, to Dean and Dema Forsyth. She went to be with her Savior on August 13, 2010. Her deep, abiding faith in the Lord guided her throughout her entire life.

Janet grew up in the Niwot and Rinn areas, where she was active in 4-H; The Cattle Club; music including piano, clarinet and voice; and the Youth Group at Rinn Untied Methodist Church.

Janet graduated from Erie High School in 1973 and attended the University of Northern Colorado, majoring in music.

She married Marvin Zweegman in 1977 and moved to Washington. When they divorced, Janet and her daughter returned to Colorado. They moved to Windsor, Colorado in 1986, where she taught piano and served as the choir director for the Windsor United Methodist Church. During this time she also became employed in the medical field, serving as a medical transcriptionist and then as a medical office manager.

Janet was a member of the Windsor Chapter U PEO. She also served as the choir director for Rinn United Methodist Church for five years and truly enjoyed directing the annual Easter and Christmas cantatas.

She moved to Brighton, Colorado in 2005. She was employed as the office manager for Colorado Pain and Rehabilitation for the last 7 years.

Janet was a very loving daughter, sister and Mother. Her favorite times were spent with her daughter and son-in-law, and her dogs. She will be remembered for her quick smile, positive attitude, her love of music, the ability to listen attentively to those around her, for being kind hearted, and her love of the Lord.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, one brother and his wife, and three sisters and their husbands, 10 nieces and nephews and their families, and many cousins. She is further survived by her beloved dogs, Scamp and Schroeder.

A celebration of Janet's life was held August 20, 2010 at Rinn United Methodist Church.
