A Mass of Christian Burial for Sylvina Zipp will be held on Monday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1791 Marshall Road, Vacaville. A viewing will take place Sunday evening from 5 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 6 p.m., at Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 524 Elmira Road, in Vacaville.

Sylvina was born on Feb. 2, 1919, in Pierz, Minn. She passed away on Aug. 17 after a brief illness.

She and her husband Clarence lived in Vacaville for 25 years. Sylvina was active in the Leisure Town Ceramics club and at St. Joseph's Parish where she was head of the bereavement group.

Sylvina is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Fred); son, Jim (Angela); son-in-law, Richard Pasco; grandchildren, Maria, David (Marilyn), Joe (Sheri), Elizabeth, Rick (Zoe), Tim (Monique), Joe (Robin) and Cynthia; great grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Nick, Sophia, Tony, Samantha, Vince, Jonathon, Kiera, Shelby and Amber; and one great-great-grandchild, Amelia.

Sylvina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence; and daughter, Elizabeth.

She will be greatly missed by her whole family and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Joseph Catholic Church (these donations will go toward the bereavement group at Saint Joseph's).

Arrangements are by Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home, 446-3233.
