Madie L. Dougherty, 92, of Waco, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Waco Memorial Park with Pastor Eric Holleyman officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at Connally/ Compton Funeral Directors. Madie was born May 10, 1914, in Henly, Texas, to Ellis and Bertha Sorrell. On Feb. 22, 1932, she married Leonard E. Dougherty in San Antonio. She loved her family, enjoyed bowling and an ice cold Dr. Pepper. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Leonard E.; a son, Leonard; and two great-grandchildren, Darlene and Amy. Those left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Loretta Jones, Gail Jenkins and husband, Larry, and Sherry Marlatt; a son, Pat Dougherty and wife, Terry; twelve grandchildren, Debra Sturdevant and husband, Roger, Shirlene Conner and husband, Ronnie, Beverly LeMay and husband, Terry, Terry Jones, Russell Jenkins and wife, Lisa, Diane Childers and husband, Todd, Jennifer Brewer and husband, Scott, Len Jenkins and wife, Tiffany, Justin Marlatt, Suzanne Marlatt, Britt Dougherty and Roxanne Dougherty; 19 great- grandchildren; and 9 great-great- grandchildren.
