Leta Mae Ames, 69 of Gentry, AR passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at her home in Gentry, AR.
Mrs. Ames was born January 7, 1936 in Siloam Springs, AR, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Hillhouse Sr. and Eula Mae (Reynolds) Hillhouse. She was the widow of the late Ruben Alfred Ames, whom she married on June 26, 1955 in Siloam Springs, AR. Leta was a homemaker.
Survivors Include: one Daughter, Donna Selvidge and husband Bill of Gentry, AR; sons, John Ames of Gentry, AR, Don Ames Sr. and wife Jeannie of Gentry, AR; 6 Grandchildren, Don Ames Jr. of Gentry, AR, Christina Hannon of Colcord, OK, Ruben Ames of Gentry, AR, Krystle Ames of Siloam Springs, AR, Mitch Selvidge Jr. of Siloam Springs, AR, Tiffany Selvidge of Gentry, AR; 4 Great Grandchildren, Destiny Hannon, Alicia Hannon, Avery Ames, Jaden Ames; 2 Brothers, Dwight Hillhouse and wife Karen of Sand Springs, OK, George Hillhouse and wife Betty of Siloam Springs, AR; 2 Sisters, Thelma Riggins and husband Oscar of Siloam Springs, AR; 1 Half Sister, Valerie Poage of Springdale, AR.
Leta was precede in death by her parents Robert & Eula, her husband Ruben, 1 daughter Lawanna Thomas and 1 brother Robert Lee Hillhouse Jr.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Bell Cemetery in Watts, OK. The Rev. Luke Church will officiate the service. Arrangements were made under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home o Siloam Springs, AR.
