ALFREDA VICTORIA BRITTON, age 88 years, beloved wife of the late Ted Britton of Fort Macleod, Alberta. Alfreda was born in Linkinhorne, England, where she received most of her education.
She came to Canada with her family and lived at Burdett, Alberta.
She married Alex McAloney in Calgary on August 10, 1925 and they resided in Calgary until his passing in 1942. On March 7, 1945, she married Ted Britton and moved to Fort Macleod, where she resided until her passing. Ted predeceased her on December 18, 1964.
She was a member of the Anglican Church Women. Alfreda spent most of her time in her garden or making quilts and crocheting dollies.
She is survived by two daughters : Doris (Milton) Anderson of Calgary, Alberta, Marion (Red) Davis of Lethbridge, Alberta, 10 grand children; nine great-grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Agnes Stewart of Payton, Saskatchewan; a brother -Jack Abbott of Mundre, Alberta.
Besides both of her husbands she was also predeceased by three great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held in Eden's Funeral Chapel, Fort Macleod, Alberta on Saturday, June 9, 1990 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Geoffry Heald officiating.
