Helen Beatrice "Bea" Hitt, 96, died on Nov. 15, 2014 in Bentonville. She was born on Dec. 8, 1917, in West Plains, Mo., to the late James K. Polk Rhodes and Amanda Elizabeth Patterson Montgomery Rhodes. She was the loving wife of the late William E. "Dink" Hitt.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Orr and husband Jerry Orr of Bentonville, Ark.; her son Carl Hitt of Fayetteville, Ark.; four granddaughters, Amy Hitt of Flagstaff, Ariz., Cara Sisk and husband John of Cookeville, Tenn., Paula Tiller and husband Matt of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Christy Oldham and husband Cody of Little Rock, Ark; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister and her husband, William E. "Dink" Hitt.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, from 10-12 at the Bella Vista Church of Christ, with a funeral service to follow at 12. Graveside service and burial will be on Wednesday, following a visitation from 10-12 at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville and Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott.

Along with her brothers she was a member of the Log Cabin Mountaineers.
