Ronald Richard Shives, age 74, of Knoxville passed away Monday afternoon, November 17, 2014, at the Knoxville Rehab Center.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Wilma Shives of Knoxville; five children, Debby(Tracy)Shives of Knoxville, Randy(Marcia)Shives of Knoxville; five children, Debby(Tracy)Shives of Knoxville, Randy(Marcia)Shives of Knoxville, Dennis(Cindy)Shives of Altonna, Kimmy Shives and Donnie Frey of Knoxville and Andy(Kelly)Shives of Knoxville; his dogs, Buffy & Sadie; and eight grandchildren , Isabel Shives, Jessica(Ethan)Henderson, Heather(Joel)Schmidt, Kelly Bryan Shives, Lacy Shives, Cody Shives, Hunter Shives and Ty Shives; two granddogs, RB & Jax. Ronald is also survived by four brothers, Wayne(Barb)Shives, Junior(Alice)Shives, Roy(Pam)Shives and Garry(Linda)Shives; two sisters, Karen(Ron)Jones and Cheryl(Jim)Gale; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Dorothy Shives; mother and father-in-law, Clifford and Wanda Hall and his brother-in-law, Dean Hall. A memorial in Ron's memory has been established to his family. The Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville is helping Ronald's family with services.
Ronald's wishes were to be cremated and his family will be greeting friends on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at the Winfield Funeral Home from 3-6 pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Gosport Cemetery.
