He is survived by: daughter, Polly Ward; four grandchildren, Mikel Sand, Melissa Pierce and husband Josh, Marty Sand and wife Brandy, Melinda Wilson and husband Jeremy; six great-grandchildren, Avery, Matt and Riley Pierce, Ely, Levi, and Mayce Wilson, and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Fanning and Maude Sifford Fanning, his wife, Vonda Barton Fanning, a daughter, Peggy Lee Fanning, and 2 sons-in-law, Bob Sand and Jim Ward.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the Bailey Cemetery with Bro. JR Andrews officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO.
