Willis Little “W.L.” Huckeba, age 74 of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014. He was born May 10, 1940 in Carroll County to the late Mr. Joseph Hoyt Huckeba and Mrs. Josie Little Huckeba. He was a graduate of Roopville High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He sold insurance with Liberty National Insurance Company for a number of years and later worked for the John Deere Company with 30 years of service and was a member of the John Deere Two Cylinder Club. He was a member of Whitesburg Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Leone Horsley and Flora Anderson; and three brothers, Grover Huckeba, Harold Huckeba, and Floyd Huckeba. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Burns Huckeba of Whitesburg; his children, Eddie (Penny) Huckeba, Tena (Tommy) Musick, Rita (Ron) Boswell, Scott (Elana) Huckeba, Chad Cunningham, and Amy (Matthew) Chappell; four sisters, Francis Entrekin, Dot Morris, Rachel Taylor, and Reba Gandy; one brother, Henry Huckeba; grandchildren, Heather and Adrian Zellefrow, Daniel and Katie Huckeba, Adam Musick, Mandy and Justin Cardell, Madi and Blake Thomas, Eli Boswell, Levi Huckeba, Josie Huckeba, Cody and Jessica Newborn, Elizabeth Chappell and Catherine Chappell; and great grandchildren, Morgan Zellefrow, Samuel Huckeba, Landon Cardell, Dakota Newborn and Rylan Newborn. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Barry Shoemake and Ron Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Garden. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The American Legion will perform the flag presentation. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
