Goldie Mae Barclay, 97, of Connellsville, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, in the Scottdale Manor Rehabilitation Center. She was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret Keefer Breakiron. Mrs. Barclay was a member of the Breakneck Church of God, where she served as the former secretary, lifetime deaconess, Sunday school teacher and member of the church choir. She is survived by her sons, Barry (Sharon Newcomer) Barclay and Larry Barclay and his girlfriend, Kathy Plesz; daughter-in-law, Mabel "Snooks" Barclay; sister-in-law, Mary Barclay Hough; grandchildren, Kim (Jim) McKeel, Karla (Tim) Tressler, Brandon (Ruth) Barclay, Miranda (Joey) Richards and Marie (Christian) Kerwin; and great-grandchildren, Lisa and Merle McKeel and Julianne Hamler. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George C. Barclay, on May 5, 1980; son, Ken G. Barclay, on Jan. 29, 1997; grandchildren, Julia Marie Barclay and Barry Keith Barclay; her brothers, Braden (Jenny), Clifton (Gertrude) and David and Harold Breakiron; and her sisters, Jean (Bill) Smith, Iva (John) Lynch, Kathryn (John "Ves") Smith, Mildred (George) Sauer, Olive (Emerson) Hillen, Hazel (Oscar) Keller and Leona (Jack) Swink. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville. Funeral services will be announced for Tuesday.
