1864 Michael's mother died and is buried at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Dunkirk, N.Y. It is unclear when his father died or his other siblings. His brother Andrew may have died early also as noted in The Corning Journal, March 15, 1883, Hornellsville Tribune, Andrew Horan died in Hornellsville and his brother Thomas died in 1902 at Chicago and was taken to Dunkirk for burial.

Michael's son Charles F died in 1948. No records of his daughter Mary "Mame" have been found as of yet. Michael's brother Thomas also located to Chicago, and he died in 1902 and was buried back in Dunkirk, Chautauqua County, NY at St. Mary's Cemetery where the parents are. He was awarded a Medal of Honor for his bravery in the Civil War.

Annie Mulqueene's daughter, Mary Alice Curry, was born on Nov 2, 1851 in Hornellsville, NY...her godparents were Thomas Horan and Ellen Callahan
