Frances Louise "Fanny Lou" (Black) Baker was on born October 21, 1879 in Smithville, DeKalb County, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of Robert Black (1844–1902) and his wife Ida Susan (Mandelbaum) Black (1856–1905).


She was married to Reverend Thomas Jefferson "T J" Baker (1870–1911), and he was the son of William Baker (1819–1872) and Martha Mildred (Trent) Baker (1829–1880).


Living at 1212 18th Avenue South in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Fanny Lou was 62 years old and a widow when she died of a bleeding duodenal ulcer on March 31, 1942 at Nashville General Hospital where she had been for ten days.


Survivors included a son, a daughter, six grandchildren and two sisters.


Burial was April 2nd in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
