ELMER KRAMBEER Funeral services for Elmer Krambeer were held Monday, November 30, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church at Luana, Iowa. The Reverend Ted Ager officiated. Helmuth Landt was the organist. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Debra & Kevin Kerr, Becky Krambeer, John Krambeer, Gregory Krambeer, Heather Krambeer, Garrett Gerleman, Alan and Jean Krambeer, Steven Krambeer, Kari Bullerman, Kaitlin Krambeer, and Juli Krambeer. Elmer Walter Krambeer, son of Louis and Cora (Walter) Krambeer was born April 1, 1915 in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County, Iowa. He passed away Friday, November 27, 1992 in the Good Samaritan Center, Postville. He had reached the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 26 days. He was baptized at Luana, Iowa by Pastor Hadwen Williams and attended Sunday School at Postville, Iowa during his youth. He received his education in the Baily School in Grand Meadow Township near his home. On January 17, 1940 he was united in marriage with Rosalyn McNally at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana. The couple farmed on the home farm where Elmer was born, until the year 1975 when they retired to Postville. To this union five sons and one daughter were born. Mr. Krambeer became a member of St. John Lutheran Church at Luana through confirmation in 1940 by the Rev. Paul Adix and has been a faithful member there since that time. He has served on the Church Council as secretary and on various committees through the years. He was active in the community having served on the Big Four Fair Board for many years. Elmer is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arno; two sisters, Helen (Mrs. Lawrence Bollman) and Ellen (Mrs. Gerhardt Koopman) and a granddaughter, Brenda Krambeer. Surviving are his wife, Rosalyn; 5 sons, Edward and his wife Margaret, Michael and his wife, Janice, and Jeffrey, all of Postville, David and his wife Phyllis of Sparta, WI, and Kevin and his wife, Chris of Indianapolis, IN; a daughter, Danna and her husband, Ronald Milbourn of Panora, IA; 11 grandchildren, who served as casket bearers; 4 great grandchildren, Kendra, Kelli and Keisha Kerr and Christopher Krambeer; a brother, Lawrence Krambeer of Decorah and a sister, Evelyn and her husband, Dale Meyer of Postville, and a sister-in-law, Helen Krambeer of Postville.
