Bonnie Marquardt (nee O'Brien), 72, passed away on May 21, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Bonnie Margarite O'Brien on July 22, 1941, in Rhinelander, to Robert Randall O'Brien and Linnea Anna O'Brien (Peterson).

Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Rhinelander. She loved being a resident of "the home of the Hodag." She loved sports and was honored to be involved with Babe Ruth Baseball for 35 years. Bonnie always enjoyed a good party and could be coaxed into singing "Harper Valley PTA" or "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey" as only she could. She loved Skippy peanut butter on saltine crackers, visiting over a cup of coffee on the patio, her daily reading of this newspaper, watching SportsCenter, and following the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.

Bonnie is survived by her sisters, her sons and their spouses, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Linnea; and her brother, Robert O'Brien Jr.

Bonnie requested that the burial service be held privately and her wishes will be honored.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rhinelander Police Department's K-9 unit.
