Geraldine Vashti Biddy Tatom, 85, left us to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2006. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Elliott- Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Wayne Oglesby officiating. The graveside will be held at 3 p.m. in the Paducah City Cemetery, Paducah, Texas. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 542 Hickory.

Geraldine was born July 19, 1920, to the Reverend G. H. Biddy and Lela Alice Britton Hall Biddy in Paducah, Cottle County, Texas. She married Marvin Edward Tatom April 7, 1938 in Paducah. The couple lived in Paducah for several years where Marvin was a carpenter and glazer. The couple then moved to Mesa, Arizona, before settling in Abilene. Geraldine was employed by Gibson's where she retired as manager of the camera department. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Tatom; son, Gerald Edward Tatom; parents, G.H. and Lela Alice; brothers, Benny Hall, Clifton Wayne Biddy, and Mack Biddy; sisters, Linnie Shirley, Mattie June Hall, and Laura Mae Biddy Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Tatom Stanley; son-in- law, N. M. "John" Stanley of Abilene; daughter-in-law, Connie Tatom of Chappel Hill; granddaughter, Kelly Stanley Gill and husband, Dean Gill, of Sanger; grandsons, Steve Stanley of Houston; Marcus Tatom and wife, Laurie Tatom of Abilene; Timothy "Barry" Tatom and wife, April, of California; great- grandchildren, Kayleigh Stanley of Bedford, Jaylynn Stanley of Houston, Kyann Gill of Sanger, Mason Gill of Sanger, Carl Tatom of California, Michael Tatom of California, and grandchildren Holly Holmes, Elizabeth Zolty, Victoria Zolty, Jennifer Deltjen, and Tyler Deltjen, all of Houston; sister-in-law, Virgie Biddy Kirby of Marble Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Geraldine "Granny" Tatom, as many called her, touched so many lives and is loved very much. She will be greatly missed, but remembered forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Abilene Adult Day Care, Calvary Baptist Church, or West Texas Rehabilitation Center.
