Mrs. Jane Seward, age about 75, died at 7:15 this morning at her home, 800 North Washington Street, after being seriously ill for the past two weeks. Death was attributed to complications of advanced age. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Greene and Harrell chapel with interment in Clear Creek. The body will remain at the funeral home.
Only survivors include a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jennie R. East of Hatbero, Pa., and several nieces and nephews. She was the widow of Henry A. Seward, a retired mail carrier, who died four years ago.
A native of this county, she was the daughter of Anthony and Phoebe La Force Chambers. Her exact date of birth is unknown. She was affiliated with the Smithville Methodist Church. For several years, she and her husband were residents of Smithville before moving to Bloomington.
