Mrs. Beulah Kathleen Schoolcraft, 43, of Oak Hill died Thursday, July 5 at the Somerset City Hospital. She had been ill for a year.

The daughter of Earl Garner and the late Beulah M. Vaughn Garner, she was born in Pulaski County October 16, 1918 and was married to Russell Clinton Schoolcraft May 26, 1938 at Liberty. Two children were born to this union.

Mrs. Schoolcraft was an active member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Farm Bureau Women's organization, taking part in the selection of the Queen and Princess process of Dairy activities, and of the Oak Hill Homemakers Club. She was a devoted wife and mother and her upright Christian character was an inspiration to all with whom she came in contact, making her untimely death regretted by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband and children, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Brooks, Burnside and Clinton Edwin Schoolcraft, Oak Hill; two grandchildren, Suzanne and Rusty Brooks, Burnside; several half-brothers and half-sisters; one brother, Glen Stanley Garner, San Diego, Calif.; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Garner, Somerset.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at the Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Prather officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery.

The Somerset Undertaking Company was in charge of arrangements.
