Ann Lorraine (Hans) Neusch, 73, of Malta, N.Y., formerly of Lower Burrell, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at her daughter's home in Malta from bile duct cancer. Ann was born May 17, 1941, in Tarentum, to Julius and Lorraine Frances (Czerwinski) Hans. She had moved to Malta to be with her daughter in her final days and was a longtime resident of Lower Burrell. Ann also lived in California, Colorado and Florida for short periods of her life. Ann worked at Haskell for nine-and-a-half years until changing professions and becoming a CNA, enjoying a long career helping those in need. Ann was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for more than 52 years. She loved her Christian religion and always shared her testimony, with as many people as would listen and even though she was sick she continued to do so when hospitalized. She had the privilege of serving in many capacities as a member. She taught in Relief Society, primary and Sunday School, directed the music and participated in the choir. Church music was one of her joys and she always loved to sing. Her children remember fondly when Ann heard music at home, she would motion with her hand, pretending she was still in choir directing the music. Even in her final hours as the music played, those hands would start directing and now she has moved on to the loving arms of God participating in the Heavenly Choir. Ann will be especially remembered for trying to not let life get her down. Even with a terminal diagnosis, she remained positive and loving to many that cared for her. Ann did not have an easy life, but she tried to avoid complaining and tried to see the good in others while extending forgiveness. Ann's greatest love was her family and she would do whatever she could to help out her children, even if it meant that she would have to sacrifice. We six children love you dearly Mom, and know you are happy beyond any imagination. We give honor to you for your faithful and wonderful example of loyalty to our family. Survivors include her six children, Christine Ann Neusch, of Tarentum, Lisa M. (Thomas) Pierce, of Arnold, Leann C. (Elmore III) Wallace, of Malta, N.Y., Jeanette Lynn Stansfield, of Lower Burrell, Mark L. (Melissa) Neusch, of Midvale, Utah, and Lawrence E. "L.J." (Jennifer) Neusch, of New Kensington; her two brothers, Charles (Elizabeth) Witas, of Arnold, and Phillip (Linda) Hans, of Springdale; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Julius J. Hans. Friends will be received from 9:45 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 710 New Texas Road, Plum, PA 15668, until time of services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
