Hugh Albert Dodd, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at his home.
A native of Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Eli and Frances (Bagwell) Dodd.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Dodd was retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad Hayne Yard. He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church, a Mason, and Shriner.
Among survivors are his wife, Mary (Blackwood) Dodd; son, Hugh A. Dodd, Jr. (Mary) of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Ali Dodd and Hugh Bradley 'Brad' Dodd; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Aidan Dodd.
A graveside service was conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, November 14, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Larry Fleming.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Green Street Baptist Church, 446 Brawley Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or Regency Hospice, 880 S. Pleasantburg Drive Suite 1A&F, Greenville, SC 29607.
