Our beloved Cecil Dean Griego, age 45, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014. Forty five years ago, Cecil Dean Griego was born in Cedro, NM. Cecil walked into the arms of God on November 10, 2014. Cecil loved DJing, music, oldies, old school and rancheras and classic cars, but his love of God superseded all else. Cecil volunteered many hours at his favorite radio station KANW.
Waiting for Cecil in heaven are his beloved father, Pedro Griego, beloved mother, Rosita Maria Paz Griego, sister, Rebeca Griego and brother, Ted P. Griego.
Cecil is survived by his daughter, Natalia M. Griego, sisters, Judy A. Chávez (Carlos), Janice M. Griego (Dennis) and Jessica R. Turner Torres (Mark), brothers, Leo Griego, Juan R. Griego (Marcella) and David O. Griego and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Copper Pointe Church, 10500 Copper Ave. NE, Albuquerque, beginning with a viewing from 8:30 a.m. until 9:15 a.m., Funeral service at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Cedro Cemetery will be held immediately following the service. Pallbearers are Eddie V. Chávez, III, LeRoy Griego, Chris Griego, Harry Griego, Anthony Trujillo and Andrew Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers are Diego Montoya and Sonny Zamora.
