Daniel Dobler, age 71, of Tower City died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1982 in a Fargo hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tower City with Pastor Melvin Rau officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
Daniel Dobler was born April 6, 1911 at Venturia, N.D. the son of Gottfred and Christina Dobler. He was educated and grew to manhood there. On February 10, 1935 he was married to Anna Maria Babitzke at Ashley. They farmed near Barnesville, Minn. For two years before moving to West Fargo where he was employed in the Armour Meat Packing plant. He farmed near Tower City from 1944 until he retired in 1976 and moved into Tower City.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Larry, Imperial Beach, Calif. And Donald, Hawley, Minn., one daughter, Fannie (Mrs. Joe) Aljoe, Tower City, Three brothers, Alfred, Venturia, Gideon, Aberdeen, S.D. and Lawrence, Williston; four sisters, Emma (Mrs. Hubert) Weisser, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Martha Iken, Breckenridge, MInn., Pauline (Mrs. Henry) Dorvel, Fargo, and Mrs. Hulda Ackerman, Boering, Ore., nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two sisters and one brother.
